By car:
Coming from the North or South towards Florence on the "Autostrada" A1, take the exit "Firenze Sud" or "Firenze Impruneta" (formerly "Firenze Certosa") and follow blue and white signs onto the SS222 to the town of Greve in Chianti.
Please note that coming from "Firenze Sud" there is a sign indicating the Community of Greve. This is NOT the main town! Keep going...
Once in the town of Greve, continue on the SS222 towards Siena - leaving the town and approximately 1 km further on the right hand side you will see the signs for entrance to the Vitigliano estate. The sign reads: "Fattoria di Vitigliano". Take the white road uphill and make your FIRST RIGHT.
Follow the UMBRELLA PINE TREES to the MONTE PONI complex for La Torre, Alba and l'Apartementino.
By public transportation:
From the main train station in Florence, SMN (Santa Maria Novella), exit the station and cross the street to the SITA bus station (behind the Deana bar).
Take the blue SITA bus towards Greve or Panzano.
The bus to Panzano has a stop for Vitigliano at the bottom of the cypress tree lined, white road at the estate entrance. It is advisable to notify the driver that you would like to get off at Vitigliano when boarding the bus.
You may also take the bus to Greve and have someone pick you up there. Walking from Greve is also a possibility if you are feeling "sportivo" and are not carrying any bags. Please note in any case, that the white road at the entrance of the estate is uphill to MONTE PONI.
